Despensas del Hogar

Despensas del Hogar was created in 2005 by Grupo CORVI, with the idea of establishing a national chain of mini markets to sell nonperishable goods. The goal was to include additional products gradually at some points of sale.

Various supermarket chains were contacted in search of a buyer. Grupo Gigante showed authentic interest because of its previous experience with a similar concept, called Súper Precio; it ultimately acquired all of Despensas del Hogar’s assets, including its inventories.
